Posted 18th January 2019

MB Partners are delighted to announce that Fitbit have extended their winning partnership with DTM Champion, Gary Paffett, as takes the next step in his glittering professional career as he takes on the 2018/19 ABB FIA Formula E Championship.

Innovators and the market-leaders in wireless-enabled wearable technologies, Fitbit’s partnership with Gary helped the British driver to the perfect farewell campaign after fifteen years of dedicated service alongside Mercedes-AMG in the DTM Championship.

“The margins at the elite level of professional motorsport are becoming ever smaller with every passing year. It’s therefore no surprise that drivers are constantly looking for anything that can help give them an extra edge behind the wheel.”

“As a self-confessed technology and fitness fanatic, continuing my relationship with Fitbit is fantastic news. The data that my device arms me with has become an essential part of my fitness regime, my race preparation and my post-race recovery.”

The 2018 season saw Gary collect three race wins and ten podiums on his way to claiming his second DTM Drivers’ Championship, some thirteen years after his first Championship success back in 2003. Gary credits his partnership with Fitbit as playing an important role in his 2018 success and is hoping the renewed relationship will continue to bring him on-track success as he gets to grips with a new challenge in the shape of the world’s leading electric, street racing series.

“The 2018 DTM season was the perfect farewell after an unforgettable relationship with the series. Formula E is another challenge altogether and one which I am really relishing. The first weekends in Saudi and Marrakesh have been a real eye-opener and I can’t wait to get back behind the wheel in Santiago.”
